    • Image Width: enter the desired width of the author's picture in pixels.
    • Default Picture: (optional) specify a default user picture or news picture (if there is no picture available for the News author) by entering a relative URL to the image. The web part supplies a built-in generic user picture if this field is left empty.

      Example:

    • Page Size: the web part supports paging and lets you specify the desired number of rows per page. Enter the value "0" to turn off paging.

      If the "Display Pictures" setting is set to "Extra Column", then the extra column will be displayed as the post's picture.

      Enter the Announcement List names using the relative Anouncement List URL. Separate the entries with a semicolon.

      Example:
      News;Subsite/SomeNewsList;OtherSite/anotherNewsList

      If you append the “*” wildcard character at the end of an entry , the web part will return all announcements in this path.

      Example:
      SomeSite* will return all news from the “SomeSite” site and the sites below it.

      If you prefix an entry with the "!" character, the web part will exclude that site’s announcements.

      Example:
      !SomeSite

    • Category Filter: (optional) only display announcements that match the given category. You can combine multiple categories (separated by semicolons).
      Example:
      Music;Politics

      You can also exclude categories by preceding the category by a "!" character (eg. show only announcements that are not part of this category).
      Example:
      !Music;!Politics
    • Property Filter: optionally filter the announcements by one or more columns.
      Separate multiple filters by semicolons.
      Specify the column to be used as a filter by using the following syntax:

      ColumnName=value
      [CustomColumnName]=value

      Please note that the column specified as a filter will need to be present in all announcements lists throughout the site collection.
      Surround the column name by square brackets if the column is a custom column (ie. not one of the default Announcement List columns)

      Examples:
      Author LIKE '%John Doe' will only return announcements created by John Doe.
      Author LIKE '%{username}' will only return announcements created by the current user.
      Category='Sharepoint' will only return announcements having the "Sharepoint" category.
      [Public]=1 will only return announcements having the custom "Public" column of type "Yes/No" set to "Yes"

    • Site Collection Name: enter the domain URL of the Sharepoint site collection if you want to roll up announcements contained in a different site collection.

    • Suppress expired items: do not show the announcements that already have expired.
    • Interactive Sort Menu: optionally display a "Sort by" menu at the top of the web part that allows users to interactively choose the sort order. Enter the desired sort columns, separated by semicolons.

      Example:
      Created;Author;Title

    • Cache Retention Time: enter the data cache retention time in minutes (enter "0" to turn off the cache feature) to speed up consecutive page visits. The use of this feature is recommened for deep site structures.
    • License Key: enter your Product License Key (as supplied after purchase of the News Rollup Web Part license).
