Image Rotator

The Image Rotator Web Part selects a random image file on each page visit from the specified Sharepoint Picture Library.

You can configure the following web part properties:

  • Sharepoint Picture Library containing the pictures
  • Image dimensions
  • Show/Hide image caption
  • Show new image every day or on every page refresh


Download and extract the current version of the WebPart.
Navigate to the App Catalog, upload the .sppkg file.
The Dialog will ask you about the deployment method and offer you the ability to deploy the Solution to all Sites (Checkbox).
now the WebPart is available to attach it to a WebPart zone as needed

Title: Set the WebPart title text
Footer: Define a static footer text
Site Name: Pointing the WebPart to another Site/SiteCollection with the full URL
List Name: Enter the Picture Library list name
View Filter: Using rest api Filter to build a view
Image Width: Set the max-width Image attribute in Pixels
Image Height: Set the max-height Image attribute in Pixels
Image CSS Style: Manipulate the Image with CSS
Caption CSS style: Manipulate the Caption with CSS
Title CSS style: Manipulate the Title with CSS
Show Image Title: Displays the Title of the current Image.
Show Image Description: Will show the Description.
Center Image: Fit the displayed section to the Webpart zone center section.
License Key: Enter your license Key.

Expert Settings

Repair Configuration: If you get an error, configure your List, you could use this swith.
Fields to process: Fields have to match the List field internal name.

i have tried the image rotator webpart with the communication site but it is not working, i can not edit or add anything


we were able to locate and fix the issue.
Please re-insert the web part on your page after having hit Ctrl-F5 to clear the browser’s page cache.
