Dead Letter Connector 2.0 for Microsoft Exchange Server
comma soft
Every system administrator knows the problem: X.400 or Internet messages with incorrect addresses are given a Non Delivery Report. But very often, these messages could have been traced back or forwarded to the actual recipient.
The comma soft Dead Letter Connector processes non-deliverable messages:
- Incorrectly addressed messages are optionally confirmed with a Non Delivery Report (NDR) and/or a configurable e-mail to the sender.
- In addition, the incorrectly addressed message is forwarded to an Exchange Recipient for processing. This may be a person working at a post-office box for incoming mail for example.
- processes any misrouted mail - whether it was sent from the X.400 networks or the Internet or whether Exchange users sent it or Exchange Connectors generated it.
- Any incorrectly addressed message is optionally documented in the NT event log and entered in the Message Tracking of the Microsoft Exchange Server.
