Virtual Office

Ericsson's Virtual Office concept implements a software platform for wirelessly extending the office network and providing mobile users with access to workgroup and corporate information resources from any location. Virtual Office presents two industry-standard interfaces to applications, MAPI and ODBC, that are independent of the underlying carrier services. This wireless middleware product supports the highest level of client/server functionality, which is distributed databases, thus making it an ideal platform for corporate solutions based on enterprise-wide information systems.
