This massive tome is geared to those who definitely want more than an elementary introduction to Outlook - especially those who want to learn about using Outlook in a workgroup. It not only gives advice on using Microsoft Exchange Server- related features such as Public Folders, but explains how to use Outlook with other messaging services such as Lotus cc:Mail, and CompuServe Mail. Like some other Outlook guides, it takes you through the process of creating and automating forms, but Special Edition Using Microsoft Outlook 97 also offers a real primer on using VBScript and explains the Outlook Object Model. The appendices in Special Edition include a glossary, a resource guide on where to find out more about Outlook, and an at-a-glance view of the options within each section of Outlook. This is a big book with relatively small print and screenshots, and some users might find the sheer volume of information a bit daunting. But if you want the meatiest book on Outlook available, get Special Edition. |
